Managing Director
Nick began his journey in 2017, building custom campervans with his father, Tom. Recognising a lack of quality in campervan products and automotive upholstery —particularly rock 'n' roll beds—he set out to raise industry standards through better craftsmanship. In 2020, he founded Vulcan to fully pursue this vision. His focus on quality and innovation has since driven the company’s growth and solidified its reputation.

Payroll & Accounts
Ellie plays a key role at Vulcan, managing payroll, accounts and supporting strategic planning with the sales team. Her attention to detail and organisational skills ensure smooth financial operations. Beyond the numbers, Ellie brings a steady, thoughtful approach, working closely with Nick to drive the company’s growth. Her expertise have been vital to Vulcan’s success.
Tom Williams

Tom Williams

Design & Head of Sales
Tom has been with Vulcan since the start, using his welding and fabrication background to help build the company. He played a key role in developing the first bed models and studied CAD to refine designs. His designs drive innovation across the Vulcan and Swivel King brands and his expertise support sales and customer satisfaction. Tom’s craftsmanship has been vital to Vulcan’s reputation for precision and excellence.
Alyson Smith

Alyson Smith

General Manager
Alison brings over 40 years of expertise and a distinguished background in the industry. Her experience has honed her ability to create durable products designed to withstand the elements, a skill she now applies to Vulcan’s work. Initially, Alison enhanced and refined the upholstery department, leading to her promotion to General Manager. Now, she oversees daily operations, manages staff and continues to uphold Vulcan’s high standards and commitment to quality and durability. Alison’s dedication and craftsmanship have made her an invaluable asset to the Vulcan team.

Tom has been a cornerstone of Vulcan since day one, leading steel-cutting operations with decades of experience. From sourcing to fabrication, he ensures every product meets the highest standards. With over 2,000 products crafted annually, Tom is key to maintaining both quality and efficiency in production.

Ian joined Vulcan in early 2024 alongside the launch of the new powder coating plant. With deep industry expertise, he has been key to its successful operation, delivering durable, high-quality finishes that exceed industry standards. Dave joined Vulcan in 2024, quickly standing out for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. He plays a key role in assembling beds and swivels, ensuring every product and fitting meets Vulcan’s high standards. His dedication and precision help deliver top-tier results to customers.

Powder Coating

Hayley joined Vulcan in December 2023 with years of upholstery experience and a background in hot air balloon manufacturing. Tommy joined Vulcan in May 2025 and quickly proved himself as a hardworking, efficient, and reliable team member. He plays a key role in maintaining high standards in bed building and fitting. Outside of work, he’s passionate about converting vintage VWs—a passion he brings into his role at Vulcan.
Fin Smyth

Fin Smyth

Warehouse Production
Fin joined the Vulcan team in April 2025 and has quickly become a valued member. He’s rapidly developed his skills in bed building and swivel production, while continuing his training across all areas. Fin consistently upholds Vulcan’s high standards and shows strong potential for growth.

Clive joined Vulcan in early 2025, bringing over 40 years of upholstery experience, including 30 years running his own business. His expert craftsmanship and keen attention to detail are evident in every project he undertakes, making him an invaluable asset to the team.
